Three nutritious meals are provided each day to a flexible schedule that accommodates early risers and sleepy heads. Meals are served in the formal dining room or at the kitchen table, where ever the resident prefers. Our creative chef is attentive to special dietary requirements and is always pleased to make someone their ‘favourite meal’. Snacks are available at any time. Residents are welcome to take afternoon tea in the shade of the gazebo or putter in the entry level flower and vegetable gardens.
Biscay Manor’s beautiful natural setting is combined with the advantages of city living. For a doctor’s visit or a shopping trip to town, residents travel in comfort in an air conditioned four wheel drive luxury vehicle. Within a 5 mile radius you’ll find the library, indoor swimming pool, churches, parks, barber shops and beauty salons, medical clinics, the hospital, golf courses and one of North America’s foremost bird watching habitats.
Bed linens, duvets and quilts are provided as are bath linens. Private rooms are cleaned daily and linens and laundry are done weekly. The staff at Biscay Manor are on duty 24 hours a day to meet the needs of residents. A state of the art security system has been installed as well as motion sensors which automatically turn on lights when you enter a room. This feature is particularly beneficial when someone wakes during the night to use the washroom. Each room also features a lifeline connection.
Dining
All meals are included in the monthly rates and we are pleased to meet your specific dietary concerns such as low salt diets, diabetic diets, vegetarian diets and ethnic preferences.
Languages Spoken
While English is our primary language, Joseph also converses in German.
Retirement Activities
Residents are welcome to join us in a little bit of gardening if they choose. Raised beds and seating add to the enjoyment of this Summer activity. For those who prefer their activities inside, we offer afternoon movies, cribbage games, scrabble and other board games. Large windows fill the rooms with light in Summer as well as Winter, making it conducive to needlework and craft projects.

While the accommodations are luxurious and the service top notch at Biscay Manor, the monthly rates do not reflect what you might expect of a high end seniors residence. Our rates are very competitive. We invite you to call today to arrange a visit and see for yourself.
